Social Security Region 10: Seattle

Region 10 of the Social Security Administration includes the following: Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. The region also includes 52 Field offices, 5 Offices of Disability Adjudication & Review, and 4 Offices of Disability Determination Services. Within Region 10, there are a little over 380,000 individuals who receive SSDI and approximately 270,000 individuals receive SSI. Overall, around 6.1% of the population in the region is considered disabled by the SSA’s standards and the SSA gave out on average about 570 million dollars in benefits per month in 2013.
